Ready to Get Back to Work? Looking for a Meaningful Way to Help People?

By 9  am on

The coronavirus pandemic has impacted us here in Colorado Springs in so many ways, including changes to the job market. Many of us have worked from home. We’ve juggled caring for our kids, we’ve helped with remote schools, and we’ve provided care for our elderly parents. For many, the result is highly developed caregiving skills and a new appreciation for helping others.

As the economy reopens and more normal activities resume, there are opportunities to take these caregiving skills out into the community and help Colorado Springs seniors live well in their own homes.  Many seniors have physical or cognitive challenges that prevent them from living their best lives. A compassionate caregiver like you can assist with tasks that require strength and stamina, allowing the seniors you care for to remain independent.

Make a Difference

Working as a caregiver in Colorado Springs or a companion for an older adult is both very fulfilling work and extremely important to seniors. In a typical four-hour shift, our caregivers help seniors with physical exercise like walking and stretching, engage them cognitively with games or activities, assist with errands and appointments, and ensure they’re socially involved. Caregivers also help with meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and personal care.

Flexible Hours and Work Conditions

Caregiving jobs with Home Care Assistance are very flexible. Hourly shifts are between four and twelve hours. Live-in shifts are also available, offering both pay and room and board benefits. Many caregivers are able to work around their family and school schedules. Caregiver positions are great matches for adults who want to serve others as well as for students in various healthcare academic programs.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for reliable, caring, loving people who have experience working with older adults. This could be helping parents or grandparents or working in a senior community, medical, or retail setting.  Background, reference, and drug screening are part of the hiring process. We offer both in-person and online training to help candidates who need specific skill training. Home Care Assistance values our employees, and we empower them to enhance the lives of our clients.
